More Than 500 Dogs Expected For Putnam Kennel Club's Shows

CARMEL, N.Y. -- More than 500 dogs are expected at the annual AKC Putnam County Kennel Club All Breed Dog Shows on Friday, July 22 and Saturday, July 23.

Judges will evaluate how dogs meet the standard of their established breeds in the two conformation competitions. Obedience and rally trails will test the dogs' understanding of commands as they maneuver hurdles and retrieve items.

The All Breed Dog Shows take place at Putnam County Veterans Memorial Park from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

There is no admission charge for the shows.

Putnam County Veterans Memorial Park is located at 225 Gipsy Trail Road.
